At Heights Youth Club (HYC) we are committed to the safeguarding of your personal information. We use physical, electronic and procedural security measures to safeguard information. We have policies and procedures that restrict access by our employees, and directors to information about you that they have a business need to know in order to do their work for you and us. This Policy applies to current and former donors for as long as information about you is retained. Please read and retain this Policy to learn how we collect and use information about you and your rights to limit the sharing and use of information.
We collect information about your past donations to accurately identify you, better understand your interest in Heights Youth Club, and comply with laws and regulations. The information may be categorized as follows:

Heights Youth Club reserves the right to share and/or use all information we collect as this Policy describes. Telling us not to share or use information is called “opting out”. HYC automatically opts you out of external information sharing with third parties outside HYC, except as required by law. You can also tell us not to share certain information with Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, the affiliate which conducts the Heights Youth Club program. Heights Youth Club does not sell information about you to third parties.
Sharing Information with Outside Companies (External Sharing)
We do not provide information about you to third parties outside of HYC, except Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, HYC's transaction processors, HYC's fundraising consultants, or as required by law. When HYC does disclose that information to third parties they are required by law and by contractual agreement to safeguard and treat the information they receive about you in strict confidence; to use it only for the purpose for which it was shared; and not to use the information for their own marketing purposes.
Using Information within HYC for Fundraising Purposes
Personal Private, and Donation history may be used for fundraising purposes within the HYC board of directors, officers and staff.
In addition to the exceptions listed in any of the sections above, HYC may continue to share or use information, as permitted by law, about you for the following:
This Policy constitutes HYC's Do Not Call Policy under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act for all HYC donors.
You may request that we not solicit you. If you prefer not to receive solicitations from HYC by mail, e-mail, telephone, or facsimile machine (fax), you may e-mail your solicitation preferences to us at our website: mail@HeightsYouthClub.org. We will do our best to honor your request, but please recognize that our fundraising is done almost strictly by volunteers.

This Policy supersedes all previous notices or statements about practices described in this Policy. You should retain a copy of this Policy for your records. We may make changes to our Policy and will inform you of those changes as required by law.
